Former kingdom of Pépin de Herstal in the VIIIth century, castle of the Beaufort lords (who reconstructed it in 1410) then home to their descendants, the counts of Liedekerke Beaufort... Vêves, despite turbulent history, appears to us now as a peaceful icon of centuries past and a masterpiece of military architecture. Built on a rocky peak, the castle features 5 stunning towers as well as a remarkable timbered gallery from the XVIth century.
